ASB Prepares for Prom 2022

Spring’s main event is coming up: Prom! It’s time to shop for dresses and suits, get your hair done or even look for the perfect corsage or boutonniere. As the year ends, it’s evident how hyped upperclassmen are for the unforgettable event.

Each year, ASB’s juniors work together in order to throw a fun and fantastic prom for the senior class. ASB has put in admirable amounts of hard work for the dance, and here is what they’ve been doing.

What to Expect

On April 30, ASB will host its 2022 Prom at the Air Force One Ronald Reagan Library from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

ASB junior Ella Shin explained, “Our prom theme is Skyfall 007 Prom 2022, so we hope to put on events that will build anticipation and excitement for the theme and dance.”

During lunch and brunch or on the Web Store, students had the opportunity to purchase their tickets. On March 28, the price starts at $130 per person with an ASB card and $140 per person without an ASB card on. Ticket sales are open until April 20, with an increasing price of ten dollars every week.

Prior to the event, students must have completed a prom contract. On the day of Prom, they will arrive at the library with their student ID before boarding the buses. The tickets include transportation fees, dinner, dancing, entertainment, casino games and more. The event will also include a DJ, photo booth and coat check.

At the conclusion of the event, buses are prepared to take home all students at no later than 11 p.m.

Prom Expo

On March 15, brunch was extended a few minutes to accommodate Prom Expo. Prom Expo is an opportunity for stores, shops and salons to advertise their services to students on campus. Stores like David’s Bridal and Perfect Tux showed off their products in appealing ways.

ASB successfully curated a variety of businesses to inspire outfit ideas and recommend stores to shop at. Different shops demonstrated various services from putting tinsel into hair to dresses and nail designs to sample.

Bryce Blaugrund, a junior in ASB, explained, “Prom Expo was a little introduction to the prom season. We had a few businesses, including the Blo Out Lounge and Perfect Tux.”

ASB preparation

ASB worked hard to provide students with a night they won’t forget. Planning such an event involves various factors and ASB must plan every detail of the night so that the event is successful.

Blaugrund illustrated only part of the process that ASB must undertake. By working together, ASB aims to plan an unforgettable night.
